August Truth Chat with Rep. Lin Bennett

Please join me Thursday August 19th as we chat with Representative Lin Bennett about a very important bill she is trying to pass, The Recall Bill.

This really is an opportunity for us to hold elected officals accountable.  To make sure they are following through with the will of the people. That they are serving us!

Currently Lin Bennett Represents West Ashley and Summerville. 

Appointed by Speaker of the House Jay Lucas, Lin also serves on the House Tax Policy Review Committee, established to review our state’s tax system and provide reform recommendations to make our tax structure simpler, fairer, and more competitive. This follows her service on the Transportation Ad Hoc Committee that addressed the shortage of CDL truck drivers in our state.

With a focus on addressing local flooding, education, and road and bridge issues, Lin also serves on several Charleston County delegation committees, as well as the Charleston Area Transportation Study (CHATS) to help realize necessary infrastructure improvements.

Through strong support from and by the vote of both Republican and Democrat peers, Lin was elected last year to serve as Secretary of the SC General Assembly Women’s Caucus. Her leadership is also respected nationally, as Lin has been recognized as a Woman of Excellence by the National Foundation for Legislative Women.
